They would land and spice would be found inside the ship leading to his arrest by checking his ship we would also find coordinates to a planet producing spice. His droid would send a distress signal back and a pirate fleet would attack the ISD. While in prison the merchant would commit suicide with a poison tablet in his mouth. After the pirates are defeated The event could lead to a planetary where we would attack a pirate spice factory and destroy it killing the pirates business. We would then leave and bomb the factory after retrieving information from their databanks and consoles.

I would see you fit as a gamemaster, doing events and playing characters. Very nice example of an event. I could see it work great with the right amount of people.
